Richmond Creative Event Catering Launch in to Summer 2009

The London-based corporate and private catering company, Richmond Creative Event Catering has made a buoyant start to the season and is looking forward to a profitable summer.

The season began at the beginning of May when Richmond provided the public catering operations for the 1st Test between England and the West Indies at Lord’s Cricket Ground in conjunction with Greens. During the three days of the match, Richmond sold over 2,000 glasses of Champagne, more than 70 magnums of Veuve Cliquot and Veuve Cliquot Rosé and in excess of 3,000 glasses of Pimm’s. In addition Richmond’s chefs prepared and served 85 lobsters, 900 oysters, 400 potted shrimps, 45 kilos of smoked salmon and 50 kilos of hot smoked salmon.

Richmond is now looking forward to a busy summer of cricket where they anticipate serving over 5,000 customers during the Twenty20 matches, the ICC World Twenty20 series and the Ashes second Test at Lords in July. Other high profile sporting events including the International Horse Show at Hickstead in West Sussex also feature in Richmond’s calendar of events.

New Managing Director for Richmond Creative Event Catering, Terry Hughes commented “It’s fantastic to have joined Richmond at such a busy and productive time. By catering at these prestigious sporting events we are firmly establishing ourselves as experienced upmarket public caterers capable of serving elegant food and drink on a large scale”.
