Richmond Creative Event Catering Goes Stateside

Three team members from the London-based corporate and private catering company, Richmond Creative Event Catering spent an educational and useful few days in San Francisco at the annual ISES Eventworld.

Ruth Langley, Senior Event Manager and Charlotte Smallman, Forty Hall Banqueting Venue Manager joined CEO of Richmond, Barry Seaman for the action-packed three day event dedicated to new and unique business improvement initiatives for the events industry. There were plenty of opportunities to network with industry representatives from across the globe as well as join sessions tailored specifically to events. The team gained valuable advice and learnt actionable tasks which were simple to implement on their return to the UK.

Charlotte Smallman commented; “The conference offered a unique opportunity to make important new contacts, the seminar and lectures gave me the ability to improve my skills, knowledge and understanding, and the evening events provided ideas for tips and trends in event design – I can’t wait to implement all of these”.

“The event was an important one for us to attend” said Barry Seaman, “As our catering operations continue to expand, we need introduce new initiatives and ideas. Over the three days we learnt the importance of social networking, how to improve our website ranking and new processes in event planning and themeing. Most of all we made new contacts with important industry players.”
