Show biz stars sing for their supper with Richmond

Richmond was asked to create a stylish ‘show biz’ and West End themed 60th birthday party to reflect the host’s interest and involvement in West End shows.         

How Richmond met the brief:
The event was themed around the interior of a London West End theatre using a black and red colour scheme. A large marquee, lined with ivory drapes and red valences, was erected in the garden. The walls were back lit with up lighters and red gels to create the warm ambience of a theatre. 

The tables were covered with black cloths and the chairs in red. Table centres with tall black church candles were surrounded by red gerberas, red lilies, berries and tall black feathers studded with diamonds. Black and red menus designed to imitate the proscenium arch completed the table decorations.

Each table was then named after a West End show the host had been associated with.

The wow factor was provided by some of the cast from Billy Elliot and other London show biz stars who entertained guests with songs and dance routines from world-famous shows including West Side Story.

The party was judged a huge success when the last guests left at 9.00 a.m. the following morning!
